THE HORNETS’ ADOPT-AN-ORPHANAGE 2019

Orphans are the most vulnerable children in the world. They live without the support and care from their biological parents. They were probably abandoned by their parents or have lost their parents at an early age. The St. Francis Orphanage of Zamboanga diligently took the responsibility of substituting and replicating the love of the parents for these children. The orphanage has already served the community of Zamboanga for over 32 years.

The Southern Stinger Flight, stationed at TOWSOL, Camp Nakar, Lucena City, was tasked to conduct a mission in the dispersed areas of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro. The mission was aimed to uphold immediate assistance to the ground forces through the conduct of troop insertion and extrication, resupply, and aerial reconnaissance to support the ongoing combat operations spearheaded by the 4IB, PA, in spite of the challenging landing zones, mountainous terrains, gusting winds, and other unforeseeable circumstances.

PAF CONDUCTS AERIAL SEARCH OPERATIONS OVER ILOILO-GUIMARAS STRAIT

The Philippine Air Force thru the 505th Search and Rescue Group conducts aerial search operations over Iloilo-Guimaras Strait after a squall capsized three boats past noon on Saturday, 03 August 2019. 

A Super Huey II #890, composed of pilots, crew and pararescue personnel, was utilized by the PAF in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard as the search for the missing passengers intensifies.

Moreover, the Tactical Operations Group 6 – Iloilo, provided KM450 and M35 trucks to ferry the passengers from Parola Wharf to Lapuz Port in Iloilo City. 

TOG3 PARTICIPATED THE TARLAC PDRRMO 1st KALASAG RESPONSE AND RESCUE CHALLENGE

As part of the celebration for the “National Disaster Resilience Month”, TOG3 together with 16 other groups from Tarlac LGUs, CSO/NGOs and uniformed personnel, participated in the Tarlac PDDRMC 1st KALASAG Response and Rescue Challenge 2019 last 29-31 July 2019.

The activity aims to empower the Emergency Response and Disaster Assistance Groups and to heightened their capacity to respond and to help them adapt to changes and innovations in Disaster Preparedness. The highlight of the event is a competition among the different participating rescue units.
