"Rizal: Alaalang Iningatan, Yaman Ngayon ng Bayan" (Rizal: Preserved Memories, Treasured Today by the Nation)

On 22 December 2022, the AFP Sergeant Major First Chief Master Sergeant Rogelio O Obillo PN (M) visited the Office of the Air Force Sergeant Major. He was warmly welcomed by Chief Master Sergeant John I Roxas PAF, the AFSM.

The Department of National Defense, signed the Memorandum of Agreement on the Establishment of Philippine ROTC Games (PRG), together with the Commission on Higher Education and Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), on December 23, 2022, at Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, Camp Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

The event also formally launched the PRG 2023 with the theme “Tibay at Galing, Pagyamanin, Suportahan, Palarong ROTC Natin".

As we anticipate the celebration of Christmas day, the Philippine Air Force held a Christmas Eve Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Chapel, Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, on December 24, 2022.

The mass was presided over by the Chief Air Chaplain, COL DANIEL D TANSIP CHS (GSC) and attended by MGEN STEPHEN P PARREÑO PAF, Commanding General, PAF together with his family, other senior officers, and enlisted personnel.

The Philippine Air Force participates in the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in celebration of the 87th AFP Founding Anniversary led by the newly designated Commanding General, PAF, MGEN STEPHEN P PARREÑO PAF, at HPAF Quadrangle, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City on December 21, 2022.

Unit Commanders, Officers, and Enlisted Personnel from CJVAB units attended the said activity.

In line with AFP's 87th Anniversary celebration, the Philippine Air Force's FA-50 jets flew over Camp Aguinaldo in a high-speed pass followed by the parade and review of contingents and ground equipment, and fly-by of air assets on December 19, 2022. 

The fly-by contingent is composed of four A-29 Super Tucano, ten SF-260, nine T-41, and three Cessna fixed-wing aircraft, followed by three Black Hawks, one B412, one S-76A, one T129 Atak, one AH-1S Cobra, three AW109, one R44, and one BO 105 comprising the rotary aircraft group. 

MGen Stephen P Parreño PAF was sworn in as the 39th Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force during the Change of Command Ceremony on December 20, 2022 at the PAF Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr as the Presiding Officer.

President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr, graced the retirement ceremony of the 38th Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force on December 20, 2022 at the PAF Multi-Purpose Gymnasium Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

LtGen Connor Anthony D Canlas Sr PAF served as the CG, PAF for more than a year, and almost 4 decades in the military service.
