PAF ON ITS FEET ICOW BENGUET FOREST FIRE

With the unfortunate overtaking of a massive forest fire in Itogon, Benguet on February 20, 2019 (Wednesday), the Philippine Air Force wasted no time and immediately conducted an Aerial Reconnaissance and Rapid Disaster Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) particularly to engulfed hit area in Barangay Ampucao led by the 505th Search and Rescue Group.

In addition, a bambi bucket was also launched to secure and prevent the fire from spreading along the area utilizing the PAF CUH Bell 412 aircraft with tail Nr 321.

PAF WELCOMES NEW VICE COMMANDER

The Philippine Air Force welcomes new Vice Commander, MGen Nicolas C Parilla AFP during the Change of Command Ceremony held at Hall of Flags, Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City on 19 February 2019.

A member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Hinirang” Class of 1987, MGen Parilla assumes as the new Vice Commander of the Philippine Air Force. MGen Parilla was the former Commander of Air Logistics Command (ALC).

Congratulations to SSg Trinidad, A2C Lemoncito, and AW2C Abad for carrying the banner of the Philippine Air Force to greater heights in the Pilipinas Duathlon Series 2019 held this day at Clarkfield, Angeles City, Pampanga

Our PAF Athletes were able to bagged several awards during the conduct of the event.

Female Elite: AW2C Abad - 3rd Place
AG 30-34: A2C Lemoncito - Champion
AG 55-59: SSg Trinidad - Champion
*AG - Age Group

The Deputy Group Commander of AFSSG, LTC RAMIL E RANARIO PAF, also participated in the said activity under AG 40-44.

AIR SENTINELS IN TOW WEST COMMENDED FOR EXCELLING IN DIFFERENT PAF COURSES

After demonstrating academic excellence in different Professional Military Education and Specialization Courses, personnel of Tactical Operations Wing West were given due recognition during the Flag Raising Ceremony held on February 18, 2019 at TOW West, Antonio Bautista Air Base, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

TACTICAL OPERATIONS GROUP 5 TURNED OVER EIGHT (8) PCS OF TRASH BINS

Tactical Operations Group 5 turned over eight (8) pcs of trash bins to Miss Robie Jane S. Dig, Field Instruction Student II of Bicol University College of Social Sciences and Philosophy Social Work Department. Said trash bins will be used as part of her social work community and development projects and to address the issues and concerns of the community people about waste management that will benefit 76 household and 88 families of Purok 7 Barangay Matanag Legazpi City.

TACTICAL OPERATIONS WING WEST DONATED A TOTAL OF 18,450 CC OF BLOOD

Tactical Operations Wing West donated a total of 18,450 cc of blood from 41 TOW West blood donors to Philippine Red Cross Palawan Chapter during a bloodletting activity held at Antonio Bautista Air Base, Puerto Princesa City on February 8, 2019.

This activity is one of the programs under civil military operations which encourage all personnel to dedicate themselves selflessly in order to help save lives. It also develops strong relationship within the community.

COMMEMORATION OF THE 74TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE RETAKING OF NICHOLS AIRFIELD DURING THE WWII

A proud member of PMA “Sandiwa” Class of 1985, MAJOR GENERAL RESTITUTO F PADILLA JR AFP formally bid farewell to the military during the Testimonial Parade and Retirement Ceremony held on February 13, 2019 at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City. The ceremony was presided by the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force LTGEN ROZZANO D BRIGUEZ AFP.

15TH STRIKE WING CONDUCTED MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSION ACTIVITY

The 15th Strike Wing conducted Medical and Dental Mission Activity in partnership with APO CACI AA and the Provincial Government of Cavite at Covered Court of Barangay 11-Lawin, Cavite City. Medical and dental doctors with 35 support personnel headed by LTC ISIDRO ALEX C URRIQUIA DS PAF from 1308DD PAF and CPT MARY JOANNE C VARGAS MC PAF participated in this activity. A total of 242 medical (46 senior citizens) and 101 dental patients as beneficiary.

NEW COMMANDER FOR 207th THS SETS IN

The Philippine Air Force 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing (THW) known as the Stingers Squadron held its Change of Command Ceremony at the 207th Tactical Helicopter Squadron (THS) Hangar, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City with the Wing Commander 205th THW, COL RENE RAOUL ROMMEL DC HONASAN PAF (GSC) as the Presiding Officer on January 15, 2019.

The King Stinger crown was received by MAJOR SONNY BOY R CABALQUINTO PAF. He replaced the outgoing Commander MAJOR MELITON J RAMONES PAF.
