The Philippine Air Force's C-130 Hercules and newly acquired C295M medium-lift aircraft now flies around the clock to bring soldiers and their families together for the Christmas and New Year holidays.

These missions are carried out by dedicated C-130 and C295M pilots and crew of the 220th Airlift Wing who set aside their own time with their families and stayed alert during long hauls to ensure safety of their flights.

In response to call of duty, LTC JOSEPH P ARCHOG PAF (MNSA), Group Commander of Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG 3) based in Tarlac, in coordination with 56IB, OCD3, DSWD3, DOH3 and the LGEs of San Luis and Maria Aurora conducted relief operations using two UH-1D helicopters this morning, December 23, 2015.

The relief operations was called for after several coastal barangays and mountain barangays of the province of Aurora were isolated due to rough seas and landslides caused by days of continuous rain.

CG,PAF led the distribution of gifts to a total of 52 PAF patients and was glad to hear that most of the patients are doing well in their treatment and some are recovering soon.

The 3rd brand-new C295M Medium-lift Fixed-wing aircraft of the Philippine Air Force touched down Clark Air Base, Pampanga at exactly 5:51 pm of December 11, 2015. It departed Seville, Spain last December 4 and made several stopover in several countries before reaching the Philippines.

It was flown in by pilots of Airbus Defence and Space from Spain, where it was manufactured. In a few days, it will undergo technical inspection and acceptance process before it will be turnover to the Philippine Air Force.

The Commanding General, Philippine Air Force, LT GEN JEFFREY F DELGADO AFP, together with other senior officers visited the home of the 710th Special Operations Wing "Skywarriors" at 790th Air Base Group, Brgy Sta Juliana, Capas, Tarlac for a pre-Christmas visit and to personally deliver his Christmas message to the personnel of the Wing last December 9, 2015.

After seven months of being the Officer-in-Charge, COL WILFREDO V MARAÑA DS (GSC) now assumed the 1301st Philippine Air Force Dental Dispensary (PAFDD) as its new Commanding Officer in a formal Assumption of Command Ceremony held last December 9, 2015 at the Hall of Flags, CJVAB, Pasay City.

The Vice Commander of the Philippine Air Force, MGEN EMERALDO C MAGNAYE AFP presided the ceremony. During his speech, he praised COL MARAÑA for his innovations and improvements in the Dental Dispensary as OIC.
