PAF's 3RD NEW C295M AIRCRAFT ARRIVED CLARK AIR BASE

The 3rd brand-new C295M Medium-lift Fixed-wing aircraft of the Philippine Air Force touched down Clark Air Base, Pampanga at exactly 5:51 pm of December 11, 2015. It departed Seville, Spain last December 4 and made several stopover in several countries before reaching the Philippines.

It was flown in by pilots of Airbus Defence and Space from Spain, where it was manufactured. In a few days, it will undergo technical inspection and acceptance process before it will be turnover to the Philippine Air Force.

Last December 5, President Aquino graced the acceptance, turnover and blessing of the 2nd C295M, two FA-50PH supersonic lead-in fighter jets and six AW-109E Attack Helicopter at 250th Presidential Airlift Wing Ramp, while Secretary Voltaire Gazmin led the acceptance, turnover and blessing of the 1st C295M, earlier last March 30, 2015 at Villamor Air Base grandstand.

The arrival, acceptance and turnover of the three C295M aircraft completes the Medium-lift Fixed-wing acquisition program of the PAF. They will be flown and maintained by the 220th Airlift Wing.
