AIR FORCE C-130s FERRY PPEs FROM CHINA

The Philippine Air Force spearheaded the tactical airlift of medical supplies in support to the government's effort in preventing the spread of COVID-19. 

As directed by the Department of National Defense, C-130 Hercules cargo planes of the Philippine Air Force were tapped to airlift a total of 1,600 boxes (35,000lbs) of donated medical supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) from Quanzhou, Fujian, China to Manila and Davao City on April 2 and 5, 2020, respectively.

Chinese Consul General of Davao, Consul General Li Lin turned-over the PPE to       MGEN MANOLITO P ORENSE AFP (Ret), Regional Director of the Office of Civil Defense which in turn will be donated to the City Government of Davao, Southern Philippines Medical Center, Zamboanga City, and Cagayan de Oro City. 

Moreover, medical teams from Tactical Operations Wing Eastern Mindanao in Brgy.  Sasa, Davao City conducted the preventive decontamination process to ensure the safety of all personnel and individuals present during the arrival of the medical supplies and PPE.

The PAF will continue to perform its mission in collaboration with other stakeholders to hasten and bolster the government’s fight against COVID19.
