The Philippine Air Force's 220th Airlift Wing evacuated approximately 80 wounded soldiers through the use of a single C-130 aircraft from Laguindingan Airport to Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City in connection with the ongoing military campaign in Marawi City last July 26, 2017.

The flight was immediately outfitted for an aero-medical evacuation led by the C-130 load masters to accommodate litter patients.

With the current crisis with the Maute Group in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur, the armed forces are united in reclaiming its freedom. With the increasing number of wounded personnel and demand for mission essentials, the “Mighty Huey” of the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing has been very reliable.

The Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG3), together with Department of Education-Tarlac and other stakeholders joined the launching ceremony of adopt a school program sponsored by Dra. Germiline Guiao, which benefited Manlapig Elementary School in Capas, Tarlac on July 25, 2017.

The launching ceremony aims to extend the “libreng serbisyo” by the stakeholders and to introduce the TOG-3 to its neighboring barangays.

About thirty military patients who sustained wounds from the ongoing firefight in Marawi City were evacuated using the C-130 aircraft yesterday, July 20, 2017. The aircraft departed from Laguindingan Airport at 10:30 p.m. and reached Villamor Air Base, Pasay City past 1 a.m. today. This sortie was the last of all scheduled itineraries that started as early as 6 a.m. – from troops relieving, reinforcements, and airlift of heavy equipment – to some areas in Mindanao.

FLYING PRRD TO MARAWI CITY

The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Rodrigo Roa Duterte boarded the C-295 aircraft on July 20, 2017 to support his subsequent visit to Marawi City after three attempts.

The aircraft was utilized from Davao to Lumbia Airport and was picked up from Laguindingan Airport back to Davao. A chopper aircraft was then used to ferry him from Lumbia to Marawi City, particularly in Army's 103rd Brigade Headquarters, which is a few kilometers away from the actual conflict area.

The F-27 aircrew of the 220th Airlift Wing ferried selected Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) participants to Manado, Indonesia in connection with the semi-annual "Coordinated Patrol Operations Philippines-Indonesia" held on July 11 to 14, 2017. The delegation was headed by Brigadier General Gilbert Gabay AFP, Deputy Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command.

As part of its preparation for the 7.2 magnitude earthquake scenario, hundreds of Philippine Air Force (PAF) personnel composed of officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian employees have flocked to the Protacio Park in Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, on Friday afternoon, July 14, to actively take part in the earthquake drill.
