AIR FORCE C-130s ON NON-STOP FLIGHTS TO TRANSPORT PPEs

The third, fourth, and fifth tranche of Personal Protective Equipment procured by the government arrived in the country from Xiamen, International Airport, China via Philippine Air Force C-130 aircraft. 

A total of 30,125.8 kgs of cargoes were transported from April 6 to 8, 2020. 

A representative from the Department of Health received the medical supplies and PPEs which include: sterile and disposable protective suit; medical overboot, protective goggles, KN95 mask, protective gloves, mask, protective gown, head cover, and shoe cover. 

The said flights are continuous until the completion of the one million sets of PPEs procured by the Philippine government.

As a standard operating procedure, PAF medical teams and the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosives personnel from 710th Special Operations Wing were present during the arrival of the PAF C-130, ensuring that all cargoes and personnel present during the said activity underwent preventive disinfection and decontamination process.

With tireless devotion in serving the country, the PAF will always be ready and willing to transport, back and forth, all the requirements needed to help the frontliners as they battle the virus and serve our countrymen.
