The Office of the Chief Surgeon, Air Force, together with counterparts from Japan Ministry of Defense and Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), kicked off the Aviation Medicine Capability Building Program on August 28, 2023, at the Philippine Air Force Headquarters, CJVAB, Pasay City.

The said program, which will run until September 1, will engage participants in roundtable discussions, training exercises, and simulations. This year’s program will focus on PAF Medical Service Capabilities, Aeromedical Evacuation Operations, and Aviation Medicine-Physiology.

In commemoration of National Heroes Day with the theme "Karangalan, Katungkulan, Kabayanihan," the Philippine Air Force participated in the Flag Raising and Wreath Laying Ceremony led by the Commander-in-Chief, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani, Fort Bonifacio,Taguig City on August 28, 2023.

The Philippine Air Force delegation participated in the 5th Airman-to-Airman Talks between the PAF and the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) in Chonburi and Bangkok, Thailand from August 14-18, 2023. The event was co-chaired by MGen Ramon J Guiang PAF, Vice Commander, PAF and Air Marshal Withaya Thanoi, Deputy Chief of Staff (Logistics), RTAF.

The A2A Talks focused on enhancing the existing bilateral relations by discussing updates on ongoing and future activities between the two (2) Air Forces.

As part of the Pacific Airlift Rally 2023, chaplains, mental health professionals, and other personnel from the Philippine Air Force (PAF) headed by COL ALBERTO R QUIAOIT II CHS (GSC), and chaplains from the United States Air Force (USAF) headed by LTCOL TODD B HARDER USAF held a Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) on religious and mental health services at the Multi-Purpose Hall, CJVAB, Pasay City on August 14-17, 2023.

On August 17, 2023, GEN KENNETH S WILSBACH USAF, Commander of Pacific Air Forces, visited the Headquarters of the Philippine Air Force (HPAF), CJVAB, Pasay City, and paid a courtesy call to LTGEN STEPHEN P PARREÑO PAF, Commanding General, PAF.

On August 18, 2023, LTGEN STEPHEN P PARREÑO PAF, the Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, extended a warm welcome to LTGEN ROWEN S TOLENTINO PA, Superintendent, PMA, during his visit to Headquarters PAF, CJVAB, Pasay City.

Aeromedical Evacuation teams of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) and United States Air Force (USAF), in collaboration with medical counterparts from Malaysia and Indonesia, took part in the Flying Training Exercise (FTX) on Mass Casualty Evacuation at Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Pampanga on August 17, 2023.

On August 14, 2023, the Philippine Air Force and United States Air Force officially commenced the Band Subject Matter Expert Exchange at Villamor Air Base Golf Club, CJVAB, Pasay City. Heading the PAF participants were LTC EMERSON M RIVERA PAF (GSC) Group Commander, 970th Honor Escort and Ceremonial Group  and  1LT JOHN PAUL E BIBON PAF Squadron Commander , 973rd PAF Band Squadron. The US Air Force band on the other hand was led by LTC JASON PLOSCH. 

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the United States Air Force (USAF) concluded a two-day Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) on Austere/Expeditionary Medical Care with a Mass Casualty simulation exercise at Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

On 14 August, 2023,  the Philippine Air Force was awarded by the Philippine Commission on Women with the GADtimpala SILVER for Outstanding Gender-Responsive Agency for its exemplary performance in gender mainstreaming and effective implementation of gender-responsive programs.   The PAF was likewise conferred with the  ALAGAD BRONZE for Exemplary GAD Focal Point System in recognition of the dedicated officials and personnel comprising the PAF GAD Focal Point System,  for being  catalysts for gender mainstreaming leading to  gender equality and the women empowerment.

The Commanding General, Philippine Air Force, LTGEN STEPHEN P PARREÑO PAF, turned over the proceeds of AXEL PAF Concert and AXEL Run 2023 to the PAF Welfare Fund, PAF Educational Fund Inc. (PAFEFI), and PAF Officers' Ladies Club Educational Assistance Program during the Special Flag Raising Ceremony on August 14, 2023 at the PAF Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, CJVAB, Pasay City.
