The Philippine Air Force C-130 aircraft picked-up BGI laboratory equipment for COVID-19 testing. The aircraft departed at Shenzhen, China around 12:10am and arrived at Base operations, Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City Pampanga at around 2:45am April 22, 2020.

The Department of Health representatives received a total of 10,000lbs composed of 66 boxes of BGI laboratory equipment.

Upon the arrival of the aircraft, personnel from Air Logistics Command together with 710th Special Operations Wing immediately provided assistance in providing security, safety and disinfecting measures to BGI staff, aircrew, aircraft, and laboratory equipment.

Indeed, these initiatives with the Philippine Government through the grant assistance from the Asian Development Bank and with the support of the PAF will continue as we battle against this pandemic.
