PAF’S PARTICIPATION IN THE 10TH BILATERAL AIR CONTINGENT EXCHANGE - PHILIPPINES (BACE-P 10-22)

The Philippine Air Force will be participating in the 10th iteration of the Bilateral Air Contingent Exchange-Philippines which will be held on March 14 to 25, 2022 that will be executed at Basa Air Base, Floridablanca, Pampanga; Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Pampanga; Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Capas, Tarlac; and in Wallace Air Station in San Fernando La Union.

The exercise will focus on a wide range of mission sets such as Air-to-Air Engagement, Base Defense; Air Traffic Navigations and Integration Coordination; Air Battle Management, Air Defense Command and Control Operations; Radar and Radio Operations; and Surface to Air Missile Operation and Deployment Planning.

The BACE-P 10-22 will include up to 12 U.S Air Force (USAF) F-16 aircraft that will train with the 5th Fighter Wing Pilots along with the support Units that sustain fighter operations; USAF transport aircraft carrying personnel and equipment begun to arrive in country since March 8, 2022.

The said activity by the PAF-PACAF is being conducted yearly to strengthen the partnership between the two Air Forces and help build PAF’s capacity to address local and regional security concerns.

This activity will be held in accordance with IATF health and safety guidelines.
