The Philippine Air Force (PAF) welcomed the first batch delivery of one (1) C-295 Medium Lift Aircraft, today, March 28, 2022 at around 5’o clock in the afternoon at Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City in Pampanga.
Three (3) C-295 aircraft were acquired under the Medium Lift Aircraft Acquisition Project in pursuant to the Republic Act Nr 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act. The C-295 aircraft were acquired from Airbus Defense and Space from Spain.
The 220th Airlift Wing of the Air Mobility Command will operate these aircraft which will be utilized to transport troops and equipment to various parts of the country.
