Two PAF UH-1H helicopters were mobilized to deliver a total of 4,604 lbs. relief goods consisting of food packs, medicines, and fuel to the Municipality of Adams in Ilocos Norte on October 23, 2022.
The mission was accomplished through the efforts of the PAF's Tactical Operations Wing Northern Luzon (TOWNOL), Tactical Operations Group (TOG) 1, along with several personnel from 702nd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army, Special Action Force of the Philippine National Police, and some local Government Agencies of Ilocos Norte.
Likewise, utilizing a SOKOL helicopter, the Philippine Air Force through the Tactical Operations Group 2, also transported 300 DSWD Family Food Packs from the Office of Civil Defense 2 for the residents of Calayan, Cagayan in cooperation with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), 22nd Air Force Group Reserve, Cagayan North International Airport Management, and Barangay San Mariano, Lal-lo, Cagayan.
The Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response Operations were conducted in response to typhoon 'Neneng' hitting the country earlier this month and leaving thousands of Filipinos in need of help.
The PAF, true to its mission, remains alert and ready to bring help and hope to those in need.
