The implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in the entire Luzon has affected the transportation of goods to and from Visayas and Mindanao. To mitigate its effect, the Philippine Air Force, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources transported Bangus fry and other goods via C130 aircraft from General Santos to Villamor Air Base, Pasay City on April 14, 2020.

A total of 2,000lbs were airlifted comprised of 2 million milkfish fry (137 boxes), 4,120kgs fresh chilled vannamei/shrimp (120 boxes), and 520 cases of big and small canned tuna. The aforementioned items will be transported by the BFAR to nearby locations in Metro Manila and distributed to Bangus breeders affected by the said pandemic.

Rest assured that the PAF, under the leadership of LIEUTENANT GENERAL ALLEN T PAREDES AFP, will exert all efforts in its capacity to support the government in order to aid and alleviate the lives of our countrymen.
