TOWWEST HOSTS AIR POWER FORUM IN PALAWAN

Tactical Operations Wing West (TOWWEST) of the Philippine Air Force successfully conducted the Air Power Forum in the region of Palawan at VJR Hall, Provincial Capitol, Palawan on November 29, 2018 with the theme “Engaging Proponents in Understanding the Essence of Air Power in Security and Development of the Western Frontier”.
The general objective of the Air Power Forum 2018 is to highlight the role and impact of airpower as an instrument in security and development of Palawan to the stakeholders – local executives, leaders of the uniformed services, officials and heads of local government units.

Highlighted in the forum were the presentations by HON JOSE CHAVES ALVAREZ, Governor of Palawan, with the topic on “Air Power Transformation and its effect in Palawan”; MGEN RESTITUTO F PADILLA JR AFP, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans, J-5 presented on the “Role of Air Power in Joint Operations”; BGEN AUGUSTO D DELA PEÑA AFP, Wing Commander of 15th Strike Wing, with the topic on “PAF Air Strategy in Response to the Whole Spectrum of Security Challenges in the WPS”; and LTGEN ROZZANO D BRIGUEZ AFP, Commander of Western Command gave a lecture on “The Role of WESCOM thru Air Power in the Attainment of Peace and Resilient Development in Palawan”.

The event was graced by MGEN JOSE P TANJUAN JR AFP, the Vice Commander of the Philippine Air Force.
