CG, PAF DONS RANKS TO NEWLY PROMOTED BRIGADIER GENERALS AND COLONELS

Fifteen Senior Military Officers of the Philippine Air Force were formally accorded their next higher ranks in a Donning Ceremony presided over by LTGEN STEPHEN P PARREÑO PAF, Commanding General, PAF, on January 12, 2024, at the Hall of Flags, Col Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

LTGEN PARREÑO officially donned the ranks on the shoulders of the three (3) newly promoted Brigadier Generals, recognizing their outstanding leadership, dedication, and contribution to the PAF.

The three newly promoted BGENs were:

BGEN THAD RUFINO P CANDELARIO PAF, Deputy Commander, Air Education, Training and Doctrine Command

BGEN LORETO B PASAMONTE PAF, Wing Commander, Presidential Airlift Wing

BGEN GLEEN ALBERT C LAGUARDIA PAF, Wing Commander, 300TH Air Intelligence and Security Wing

He likewise donned the ranks of the following newly promoted Colonels:

COL ISAGANI F QUIMING PAF (GSC)

COL JONATHAN B PANES PAF (GSC)

COL GLENN P EUGENIO PAF (GSC)

COL ALAN GREG P CASTRO PAF (GSC)

COL GENEROSO O BAUTISTA JR PAF (GSC)

COL MARK ALLAN I GAVILAN PAF (GSC)

COL JEFFREY ABEGAIL C MORALES PAF (GSC)

COL SHIELA MARIE F DAUZ PAF (GSC)

OL ARVIN JOEL N BUAN PAF (GSC)

COL CRISTOPHER ALLAN M MENDOZA PAF (GSC)

In his speech, the CG, PAF expressed confidence in the newly promoted leaders, highlighting their crucial roles in maintaining the Armed Forces and PAF standards and shaping the organization's future. He commended their dedication, urging them to continue serving with excellence to keep the Air Force at the forefront of National Defense.

In closing, he entrusted them the responsibility not only for aircraft, equipment, and operations but also for the thousands of men and women whose efforts propelled the PAF to greater heights. He also emphasized the imperative of maintaining the PAF's momentum through principles of excellence, good governance, transparency, and accountability.
