The management of AirASia Philippines headed by its Chief Executive Officer Captain Dexter Comendador has announced on Wednesday, July 19, that members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines "on peacekeeping mission" will be able to enjoy an additional 40kg baggage allowance and free in-flight meals and snacks.

This new policy is AirAsia's response to Inday Rakel's post that went viral on social media. The post shared how the passengers offered their extra luggage space for the three soldiers bound to Cotabato and Marawi City for peacekeeping mission after seeing that the soldiers went over their check-in baggage allowance weight limit.

We salute you, AirAsia Philippines!!! Thank you for supporting our troops. Mabuhay kayo!
