07 February 2018

A total of 177 evacuees affected by the Mount Mayon eruption have sought refuge at Lamba Elementary School in Legazpi City after they were immediately transferred there by the combined personnel of Tactical Operations 5 and 710th Special Operations Wing of the Philippine Air Force on January 27, 2018 due to the danger of flooding caused by the continuous downpour in the entire province.

These evacuees composed of 46 families, 90 adults, and 87 children were temporarily seeking shelter at Puro Elementary School but had to be relocated by the PAF to a safer evacuation center utilizing its M35 and KM trucks.
