220TH AW Holds Herky Forum; WC Stresses Impact of Airlift Operations in the Overall AFP Mission

C-130 pilots and other aircrew including maintenance personnel of 220th Airlift Wing of the Philippine Air Force took part in the First Quarter "Herky" Forum on January 26, 2018 at 222nd Airlift Squadron's Conference Room, Brigadier General Benito N Ebuen Air Base, Lapu-lapu City.

During the forum, the following topics were discussed: Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Law, C-130 recurring discrepancies, C-130 hydraulics and propeller systems, and other standard operating procedure.

Immediately after, a brief presentation on the flying time accomplishment of the squadron for 2017 was shown.

As the forum ended, the Wing Commander, Brigadier General Stephen P Parreņo AFP, congratulated all C-130 pilots, crew, and maintenance personnel for all their efforts and hard work for the past year, particularly the personnel's contribution during the government troops' combat operations in Marawi City, several international flights, and the holiday sorties.

He also highlighted the impact of the Wing's airlift operations in the future.

".with the current trend in Air Force operations, it only suggests that in the succeeding years or more, or even until the completion of our Flight Plan in 2028, airlift operations will remain much as they have been but potentially with intensified demands.
