PAFEFI 59th Semi-Annual Bot Meeting Convenes, New Members Take Oath

The Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, Lt Gen Galileo Gerard R Kintanar Jr AFP, presided over the 59th Semi-Annual Board of Trustees Meeting of the Philippine Air Force Educational Fund Inc (PAFEFI) on December 13, 2017 held at the Garden II, Marriott Hotel, Newport Boulevard, Newport City Complex, Pasay City.

During the meeting, Lt Gen Kintanar, along with Ms Holly Reines from the American Womenís Club of the Philippines, and Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Personnel, A-1, Colonel Rommel P Roldan GSC (PAF), took their oath as chairperson, member, and executive secretary of the PAFEFI, respectively.

The Board of Trustees discussed the grant of educational assistance to senior high school students under the K-12 program.

The CG, PAF also reported the Semi-Annual Fund Drive Campaign of the PAF.

Meanwhile, the PAFEFI President , Lt Gen Horacio S Tolentino AFP (Ret), presented the Semi-Annual Presidentís Report.

Before the meeting ended, Dr Daisy Tamayo from the University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta donated Php50,000.00 to the foundation.

Immediately after the meeting, a plaque of appreciation was presented to the former PAF Commanding General, Lt Gen Edgar R Fallorina AFP, in grateful recognition and appreciation of his unselfish support and dedicated service as chairperson of the PAFEFI for calendar year 2015 to 2016. Moreover,replicas of the C-130 aircraft were also given as memento to Mr Washington Z Sycip and Mrs Joaquina S Jamias for their invaluable years of dedicated service and outstanding contribution as treasurer and assistant treasurer, respectively. The CG, PAF conferred the said plaque and mementos and was assisted by the PAFEFI President.

The PAFEFI Board of Trustees Meeting will convene again for the 60th Annual Meeting in May 2018.

The Philippine Air Force Educational Fund Inc (PAFEFI) was established in 1958 with a primary purpose to provide educational assistance to the children of PAF military personnel who died in line of duty, killed-in-action, or discharged/separated in service due to disability.
