03 February 2017

What a good way to start the year knowing that the three Philippine Air Force (PAF) generals who were promoted to the next higher rank and six senior officers who earned their first star have finally taken their oath before President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on January 31, 2017 at the Malacañan Palace.

“The oath-taking at the Malacañan Palace signifies the renewal of commitment to the Chain of Command and the Constitution by our top military officers holding vital units in the Armed Forces,” AFP Public Affairs Office Chief Marine Colonel Edgard A Arevalo said.

The PAF is proud of the well-deserved promotion of Lieutenant General Raul L Del Rosario, Commander of Western Command; Major General Jose G Mirandilla Jr, Commander of 2nd Air Division; and Major General Enrique C Reyes, Commander of 1st Air Division.

Joining them who were promoted to Brigadier General were Colonel Simplicio A Lumantas Jr, Air Force Internal Auditor; Colonel Arthur C Blanca, Wing Commander of 420th Supply Wing; Colonel Samuel G Gotico, Deputy Commander of Air Education Training and Command. And among the reservist officers who were promoted to Brigadier General were Colonels Raymundo T Francisco, Artemio A Adasa Jr, and Hilario B Frigillana Jr.

Congratulations on your well-deserved promotion, Sirs!!!
