CSAFP Visits The PAF

The 48th Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), General Eduardo M Aņo AFP, together with his party, visited the Headquarters Philippine Air Force on January 20, 2017 at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

Full military honors was accorded to General Aņo upon his arrival at the HPAF Quadrangle with the Commanding General of the PAF, Lt Gen Edgar R Fallorina AFP, as military host.

A command briefing was then conducted at the Hall of Flags together with the senior officers. Immediately after, the CSAFP proceeded to the PAF Multi-Purpose Gymnasium to meet all the PAF personnel and civilian employees for the traditional “Talk-to-the-Airmen”.

The said activity was the first official visit of the CSAFP since he was designated last December 7, 2016.

As the new CSAFP, he personally thanked, recognized and gave his salute to all the PAF personnel and civilian employees for their perseverance and integrity towards work.

In his speech, General Aņo shared his command guidance to the PAF on the development, support and security plan of the AFP. According to him, the AFP is more focused in intensifying the military operations and contribute to the peace negotiation. It also showed its continuous support to the Philippine National Police and other law enforcement agencies on its campaign on drugs and criminality.

On the other hand, the CSAFP mentioned the President's support, particularly on the welfare and health facilities of our soldiers. Relative thereto, he said, yesterday, he gave a proposal to build a medical facility in Sulu, Zamboanga, and Cotabato City. This is to ensure that our wounded soldiers will be cured immediately.
