A Night To De-Stress

With the theme, "Kung hindi ka sundalo, Ano ka?" the Philippine Air Force 220th Airlift Wing led by Wing Commander, Brigadier General Stephen P Parreņo AFP spearheaded the conduct of the Wing's 4th Quarter Social gathering on November 08, 2017.

During his speech, Bgen Parreņo addressed a statement to all his personnel on how fully aware he was in terms of their hard-work and dedication. He wanted to return the favor by giving them a time to unwind and celebrate fellowship amongst one another.

A night of celebration and gratefulness after having achieved significant milestones in sustaining 24/7 airlift operations most especially in the recently concluded Marawi Crisis. As operational requirements progress in an unpredictable phase including the increasing frequency of international flight operations.

The airlifters really tried to cope with various initiatives most particularly on maintenance activities to ensure that all aircraft are operationally ready anytime.

Part of the program includes awarding of outstanding personnel, gift giving to birthday celebrants, dance contest, and awarding of best in costume. Lieutenant Joseph Calma PAF was the over-all director of the event.

Morale and Welfare activities such as this quarterly socials remained to be the WC's centerpiece for the Unit's internal improvement programs.

'While I won't get tired of commending your efforts, I also won't stop reminding you that now is not the time to relax...though challenges may overshadow our labors, we definitely have the requisites for surmounting them...we not only have the mechanism, we also have our combined resolve to confront all of them...my optimism is high that we shall continue to accomplish our objectives on time - Bgen Parreņo said.
