Airlifters Transport 55-Man Shooting Contingent to Singapore

16 November 2017

Once again, the Philippine Air Force, 220th Airlift Wing C-130 aircraft led by its aircraft commander, COL Bienvenido J Casaclang PAF (GSC) and Pilots-in-Command, MAJ Elias Garry Gregorio PAF and MAJ Claire Belle Clua PAF ferried fifty-five (55) Army shooters to Paya Leybar Air Base, Singapore for the ASEAN Armies Rifle meet last November 06, 2017.

International sorties of this kind are not new to 220th Airlift Wing considering its recent flights include long-haul transpacific sorties. Through these sorties, the airlifters continue to improve their techniques and procedures especially on flying over international airspace and has enhanced air mobility operations.

It can also be gleaned that even during the Marawi crisis, the 220th AW is constantly at work supporting either the combat effort or humanitarian missions, or most of the time both simultaneously.

With the increasing frequency of international flights, the pilots and crew of 220th Airlift have greatly improve their skills and ultimately, put to test the full spectrum of capabilities Air Mobility Command provides the nation.
