The Philippine Air Force (PAF) rendered a Testimonial Review and Retirement Ceremony in honor of Brigadier General Anselmo Doroteo P Junsay III AFP, the Deputy Commander (DC) of 1st Air Division (1AD) on January 27, 2017 at Challengers Field, Air Force City, Clark Air Base, Mabalacat in Pampanga with the 1AD, Major General Enrique C Reyes AFP, as the Presiding Officer. The PAF Commanding General, Lieutenant General Edgar R Fallorina AFP, was also present during the activity as the Special Guest. A full military honor was accorded to BGen Junsay III in recognition of his 37 years of military service.

During the ceremony, BGen Junsay III was given a Philippine flag, unit standard of 530th Air Base Wing (ABW), personal flag, Command Plaque, Plaque of Honorable Service, Command Memento, and Replica Cheque while a Plaque of Appreciation was presented to Mrs. Ma. Jocelyn Navio Junsay for her wholehearted, faithful and unselfish support to her husband's devoted service to the nation.

In his speech, BGen Junsay III acknowledged everyone, especially his family and mistahs in PMA, who attended his ceremony and expressed his deepest gratitude for their unwavering support all throughout his military career. Unlike any other retirement speech, BGen JUnday III ended his remarks by singing a song to his family titled “Daddy’s Home”.

BGen Junsay III is a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Maharlika” Class of 1984. The seasoned PAF General is a helicopter pilot. He also served as the Deputy Wing Commander of 15th Strike Wing, Deputy Commander of Air Education Training and Doctrine Command, Wing Commander of 530th ABW, and Deputy Commander of 3rd Air Division. He is also a recipient of numerous awards and decorations. Notable of which include 27 Military Merit Medals, Gold Cross Medal, Long Service Medal, United Nations Medal with 2 Numeral, Wing Commander Well Done Award, Combat Mission Plaque and many others.
