PAF LAUNCHES TWENTY FOUR-7 MINI MART

The 520th Air Base Wing launched the new Twenty Four-7 Mini Mart in a simple opening and blessing ceremony hosted by its Wing Commander, COL MICHAEL J LORENZO PAF ( MNSA) on 25 September 2020 at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. 

The activity was graced by no other than the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force, LTGEN ALLEN T PAREDES PAF.  Also present were: the Vice Commander, PAF, MGEN PELAGIO R VALENZUELA PAF; the Chief of Air Staff, MGEN FLORANTE M AMANO PAF; and, the Air Force Inspector General MGEN FERNYL G BUCA PAF.

PAF’S NEW C2 AIRCRAFT FERRIES PPE FOR ITS INAUGURAL FLIGHT

The Philippine Air Force's new Gulfstream G280 Command and Control aircraft flew to Davao City carrying medical supplies on its inaugural flight on September 21, 2020.

The aircraft transported Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III; DILG Secretary Eduardo Año; Chief Implementer on the declared National Policy against COVID-19, Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.; and, other IATF members to Davao City to check on the current COVID-19 situation in the province and to transport assorted PPE and medical supplies. 

PAF FORMALLY OPENS BASIC INTEGRATED COMMAND AND CONTROL, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CYBER SYSTEMS CLASS

The Philippine Air Force, through the Office of Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Communications (OA-6), formally opened the Basic Integrated Command and Control, Communications, and Cyber Systems Class 01 in a simple Opening Ceremony held via Google Meet with the Vice Commander, Philippine Air Force MGEN PELAGIO R VALENZUELA PAF as the Guest of Honor and Speaker on August 10, 2020. 

REMAINS OF OFW FROM LEBANON ARRIVES IN ILOILO VIA PAF AIRCRAFT

The Philippine Air Force provided air transport and ground assistance during the arrival of the cadaver of late Milagros Campo Sumaculob, an Overseas Filipino Worker who died in a Beirut, Lebanon blast last August 5, 2020 from Clark Air Base Pampanga to Iloilo International Airport via NC212i aircraft on August 18, 2020.

Meanwhile, the same aircraft was utilized to transport three (3) DOH personnel from Mactan to Iloilo who augmented as additional medical frontliners at Cebu City in response to their increasing COVID-19 cases.

PAF CONDUCTS CEREMONIAL SIGNING OF PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PLDT-SMART

The Philippine Air Force continuously intensifies its stakeholder engagement in the Ceremonial Signing of Conformity Letter in Partnership with the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT), Inc. on August 12, 2020 at the Agunod Hall, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. The Ceremony was participated by LTGEN ALEN T PAREDES AFP, the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force and Mr Manny V Pangilinan, President and CEO PLDT-Smart Inc. 

PAF AND RSAF CONDUCTS VIRTUAL MEETING FOR FUTURE COLLABORATION

The Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force LTGEN ALLEN T PAREDES AFP together with the Chief of Air Force, Republic of Singapore Air Force MGEN KELVIN KHONG conducted a virtual meeting and discussed the way forward for future collaborations between the PAF and RSAF. 

Despite COVID-19, both countries stay connected with each other through Video Tele-Conference which allowed both countries to strengthen bilateral relationships.

PAF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES CONDUCTS WEB-BASED SEMINAR ADAPTING TO A NEW NORMAL

CS, AFP VISITS BASA AIR BASE

The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines GENERAL FELIMON T SANTOS JR conducted a Farewell Visit to the Philippine Air Force at Basa Air Base, Floridablanca in Pampanga on July 29, 2020 .

Upon his arrival, GENERAL SANTOS JR was accorded with foyer honors hosted by the Commanding General, PAF LIEUTENANT GENERAL ALLEN T PAREDES AFP, which was also witnessed by the HPAF General Officers; Commanders of Air Defense Command, Air Logistics Command, Air Education Training and Doctrine Command, Air Force Reserve Command and other senior Officers. 

PAF C-130 CARRIES PPEs FROM CHINA

The PAF C-130 aircraft arrived at Clark Air Base from Changsha, Huanghua China carrying boxes of Personal Protective Equipment to aid fight COVID-19 on July 29, 2020.

Personnel from Air Logistics Command in partnership with the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Unit of 710th Special Operations Wing provided base services such as security, safety and disinfecting measures to the aircrew, cargoes and the aircraft.

The ALC will continue to provide quality and sustained support services as the PAF continue its fight to combat COVID-19.

PAF FERRIES INDIVIDUALS AND REPATRIATED OFWs

The Philippine Air Force C-130 aircraft transported Indonesian Nationals from Davao City to Manado, Indonesia and Overseas Filipino Workers from Manado, Indonesia to Philippines on July 17, 2020. 

A total of 11 Indian Nationals were ferried from Davao City to Indonesia and 52 OFWs were ferried back from Indonesia to Philippines. 

Aside from the workers inside the country, OFWs were the most affected workers during the lock down. They were displaced from work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

PAF 900TH AIR FORCE WEATHER GROUP FLIES TO ISABELA FOR CLOUD SEEDING OPERATIONS

The 900th Air Force Weather Group Cloud Seeding Operations Team arrived aboard in Nomad N-22C at the Headquarters, Tactical Operations Group 2 in Cauayan, Isabela for the cloud seeding operations that will be conducted over Region II, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) on July 15, 2020. 

On July 16, 2020, initial coordination were conducted by the 900th AFWG Cloud Seeding Operations Team, Pilots and Crew from 220 Airlift Wing and 900th AFWG with theDA-BWSM representatives.
