PRESIDENT AQUINO LEADS TURN-OVER OF NEW AIR ASSETS TO THE PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE

The Philippine Air Force receives the two newly arrived FA-50PH Fighter/Surface Attack/Lead-in Fighter Trainer Aircraft, one C295M Medium Lift Fixed-Wing Aircraft and the six AW-109E Attack Helicopters last December 5, 2015 in a Joint Acceptance, Turn-Over and Blessing Ceremony at the Bulwagan ng Kalayaan, Col Jesus, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City with H.E. PRESIDENT BENIGNO SIMEON AQUINO III as theGuest of Honor.

“We owe an enormous and profound debt to God and to many outstanding individuals so important to this “renaissance” like our Commander-in-Chief, HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT BENIGNO SIMEON AQUINO III, our Secretary of National Defense, Honorable Voltaire T. Gazmin, former and present Chief of Staff, AFP, our partner companies – the Korean Aerospace Industries, Airbus Defence and Space of Spain and Agusta Westland of Italy, former Chiefs of the Air Force and to the valiant airmen and airwomen of the Air Force past and present, who serve as the inspiration for the vision, leadership, organizational skills and drive that guided our Air Force as we carry on and rise again like a phoenix and to the Filipino people for their continued love and trust to their Philippine Air Force," the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force, LTGEN JEFFREY F DELGADO AFP said in his welcome remarks.
