PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE RESERVISTS IN ACTION DURING TYPHOON ROLLY IN BATANGAS

The Philippine Air Force Reservists under the 3rd Air Force Wing Reserve together with other Armed Forces of the Philippines Units, Philippine National Police, Philippine Red Cross, and with the Local Government Unit of Batangas conducted Search and Rescue Operations for the victims of Typhoon Rolly in Ibaan, Batangas on November 2, 2020.

 

A cadaver of a male victim drowned by flood brought by Typhoon Rolly was recovered during the Search and Rescue operations of the team at Brgy Sabang, the boundary of Ibaan, Batangas.

 

A total of 15 PAF Reservists composed of three (3) Officers and 12 Enlisted Personnel participated during the said Search and Rescue in the area. The said Reservists were deployed to assist the LGU to mitigate the effect of Typhoon Rolly in most affected areas in Batangas.

 

Also, another team from the 3rd AFWR conducted clearing operations in Brgy. Bungahan, Cuenca, Batangas as part of the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response to the affected community in the locality.

 

Meanwhile, other PAF Reserve Units are on standby alert in their respective mobilization centers for possible deployment as directed by Unified Commands and Higher Headquarters.
