PAF RECEIVES DONATION FROM CLARK DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND CLARK INVESTORS AND LOCATORS ASSOCIATION

In support to the Philippine Air Force medical frontliners against COVID-19, the Clark Development Corporation headed by their President-CEO Noel F Manankil and Clark Investors and Locators Association led by their Chairman Dr. Irineo Bong Alvaro Jr donated Personal Protective Equipment and medical supplies to the Philippine Air Force at Villamor Air Base, Pasay City on April 27, 2020. The CDC and CILA gained additional support from its operating and manufacturing companies who have shifted part of their operations to manufacture protective equipment and procure medicine for frontliners.

The first batch of donated PPEs and medical supplies composing of safety goggles, medical gloves, isolation face shields, SKN95 particulate respirator, isolation waterproof clothing, shoe cover, and cover-all protective suits were handed over by the CDC representative, GEN BENJAMIN P DEFENSOR JR AFP (Res) to the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force LTGEN ALLEN T PAREDES AFP in a simple turn-over ceremony.

The recipient of the said donation will be the Air Force General Hospital in Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, and Clark Air Base Hospital in Air Force City, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

Furthermore, CDC is an active Air Force Reservist Unit and is setting up an expanded medical center in the Air Force City to serve active AFP personnel, PNP and reservists. Likewise, the gathering of medical equipment and supplies were also conducted by the said Unit for other AFP hospitals.

The working relationship between the PAF and CDC covers engineering projects and medical services. It was highlighted during the tenure of the present CG, PAF when he headed the Council of Commanders of the Air Force City created by the former CG, PAF GEN DEFENSOR.
