The Philippine Air Force conducted a Send-off Ceremony of Humanitarian Mission to Indonesia together with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on October 10, 2018 at Base Operations, CJVAB, Pasay City with the Secretary of National Defense Delfin N Lorenzana.
The Chief of Staff, AFP, Gen Carlito G Galvez Jr; Commanding General, PAF, LtGen Galileo Gerard R Kintanar Jr AFP; Executive Director, NDRRMC, USec Ricardo B Jalad; Department of Foreign Affairs, Exec Dir Josel Ignacio; Department of Social Welfare and Development, Dir Fernando De Villa; Deputy Chief of Mission Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to the Philippines, Ms Budi Dhewajani and other Unit Commanders were also present in the said activity.
The relief operations to Indonesia will be sending generators, water purification units, tents, family kits and financial assistance. Likewise, a PAF C-130 will be there to help in ferrying goods to the areas affected by the 7.5 magnitude earthquake and tsunami.
The said mission is headed by the Aircraft Commander, Col Federico B Enriquez PAF MNSA and twenty-one (21) others.
