PAF HONORS RETIRING OFFICER AFTER SERVING 36 YEARS IN THE PAF

A full military honor was given to BRIGADIER GENERAL RENE E SANTOS AFP, a member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) "Matikas" class '83 in recognizing his 36 years in the military service with Air Force Internal Auditor, BGEN FLORENTINO S RASCO AFP as military host and rendered his retirement call to the Commanding General, LT GEN JEFFREY F DELGADO AFP in his office in Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

Prior to his present designation as the Wing Commander of the 420th Supply Wing, he also held major positions such as the Wing Commander, 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing; Wing Commander, 560th Air Base Wing; Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Operations, A-3; Deputy Commander, National Capital Regional Command and many other significant positions.

He was also a helicopter pilot, test pilot, instructor pilot, check pilot of the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing and was awarded a senior pilot and command pilot badge.

BGEN SANTOS is set to retire on his birthday, September 11, 2015 wherein a retirement ceremony will be honored to him at the Challengers Field, Clark Air Base, Pampanga.
