PAF C130 FERRIES NUCLEIC ACID DIAGNOSTIC KITS FOR PHILIPPINE RED CROSS

The Philippine Air Force C-130 aircraft picked-up Nucleic Acid Diagnostic Kits (Reagent) for the Philippine Red Cross from Changsa International Airport, China to Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City on Tuesday night, April 28, 2020. 

A total of 340 boxes (5,777kgs) of kits were received by Ms. Rita Tobias, Procurement Manager of the Philippine Red Cross. 

These kits will be used by the Philippine Red Cross in their molecular laboratory in order to increase the country’s capacity in COVID-19 testing, which can conduct 12,000 tests per day. 

As a standard operating procedure, PAF medical teams and the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosives personnel from 710th Special Operations Wing were present during the arrival of the PAF C-130, ensuring that all cargoes and personnel in the said activity underwent preventive disinfection and decontamination process.

The PAF pilots and crew dedicated all their skills and efforts to ensure that the much needed medical supplies and other essential equipment are successfully transported. Undoubtedly, their sacrifices are a clear manifestation that the welfare of the Filipino people is their first priority in support of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.
