PAF BIDS FAREWELL TO THE OUTGOING VCS, AFP IN A TESTIMONIAL PARADE AND REVIEW

The Philippine Air Force honored the outgoing Vice Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, LTGEN SALVADOR MELCHOR B MISON JR AFP in a Testimonial Parade and Review on June 7, 2019 at PAF Grandstand, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City with the Commanding General PAF, LTGEN ROZZANO D BRIGUEZ AFP.

LTGEN MISON JR is a proud member of the Philippine Military Academy class of 1984. Prior to his retirement, he previously held positions as the Deputy Chief of Staff, GHQ & HSC; Commander, Air Education Training and Doctrine Command; Chief of Air Staff, PAF; Inspector General, Headquarters Service Support Group; Deputy Commander, 1st Air Division; Wing Commander, 220th Airlift Wing; and flew as an Instructor Pilot. Likewise, as an additional duty, he also served as member of PAF Education and Training Board, member of PAF Board of Senior Officers, and Vice Chairman of PAF Military Pilot Training selection board.

He was also a recipient of various awards, decorations, and commendations. Remarkable of which are the PAF Gold Wings, Outstanding Achievement Medal, Distinguished Service Star, Award of the Chief of Staff, Commendation Medal and Ribbon, Military Merit Medal, Silver Wing Medal, Presidential Citation Badge and numerous letters of commendations, plaques of appreciation and merits.

The ceremony served as an expression of gratitude to LTGEN MISON JR, as well as, to pay tribute for his leadership, integrity, service, excellence, and dedication contributed to the PAF as well as to the AFP.
