PAF AIR EVAC BABY WITH HEART DISEASE

The Air Mobility Command, Philippine Air Force, under the command of MGEN SIMEON Z FELIX JR PAF, facilitated the medical air evacuation of a one (1) month old baby suffering from Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).

According to the mother, Ms Zyri Lael Nuesca, a resident of Brgy Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City, her baby needs to be transferred to the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City to undergo an immediate heart operation for her to survive.

The 220th Airlift Wing, headed by COL BIENVENIDO J CASACLANG JR PAF (GSC), responded immediately and formed its pilots MAJ JOSEPH EYROLL T QUINTOS JR PAF and CPT RENMAR ERNEST M SAMONTE PAF, and crew as the dependable C295 Aircraft airlifted the baby on 06 December 2020.

The BGBNEAB Hospital, headed by the Officer-in-Charge, MAJ MARES CECILE T LAPADA MC, assisted the Air Force General Hospital Medical Team led by MAJ JOANNILIZA S VILLAR NC, Flight Nurse, and CPT EMMANUEL S PANGILINAN MC, Aviation Medical Examiner, who accompanied the mother and child from Mactan to Villamor Air Base, and ensured the safety and good health condition of the baby.
