PAF 900TH AIR FORCE WEATHER GROUP FLIES TO ISABELA FOR CLOUD SEEDING OPERATIONS

The 900th Air Force Weather Group Cloud Seeding Operations Team arrived aboard in Nomad N-22C at the Headquarters, Tactical Operations Group 2 in Cauayan, Isabela for the cloud seeding operations that will be conducted over Region II, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) on July 15, 2020. 

On July 16, 2020, initial coordination were conducted by the 900th AFWG Cloud Seeding Operations Team, Pilots and Crew from 220 Airlift Wing and 900th AFWG with theDA-BWSM representatives.

A total of 10 hours of cloud seeding operations will be conducted over the vicinity of Isabela to help increase the water supply in the said area for domestic consumption utilizing the Nomad N-22C of the 220AW.

200 sacks or 5,000 kilograms of seeding agent (salt) will be dispersed during the conduct of the entire cloud seeding mission.

Members of the CSOps Team are MAJ PEÑAFLOR PAF (Cloud Seeding Officer), MSg Olarte PAF (Cloud Seeding Technician), TSg Mabborang (Cloud Seeding Technician), A1C Dumlao PAF (Cloud Spotter), A1C Ramos PAF (Crew), and A2C Villapando PAF (Crew). In addition to the team are pilots from 900AFWG, MAJ TIMBANG PAF and CPT OLASO PAF; pilots from 220AW, MAJ MAÑEJE PAF, 1LT DE VILLA PAF and 1LT DE PIO PAF.
