The Philippine Air Force recognized its outstanding personnel during the first Flag Raising Ceremony of the month on May 6, 2024, led by the Acting Commanding General, PAF, MGEN AUGUSTINE S MALINIT PAF, at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

Several individuals and athletic teams were recognized for their outstanding achievements, including:

- 1LT ROCHELLE M MANALO PAF, recognized as an AFP GAD champion for 2024

- Sgt Nicanor R Jasmin PAF, coach of the Philippine Rowing Team, securing a Bronze Medal in the 2024 Asian Rowing Cup in South Korea

- Sgt Ron John Kim L Lina PAF, awarded the International Distinguished Military Graduate Award during the Aircraft Powerplant Repairer Course in Virginia, USA

- A1C Jobenn T Sabanal PAF, honored with the Honor Graduate Award for finishing as Top 2 Graduate of the class in the Unit Supply Specialist Course in Virginia, USA

- AW Kharl Julianne B Sha PAF, member of the Philippine Rowing Team, contributing to the Bronze Medal win in the 2024 Asian Rowing Cup

- The PAF Softball Team, crowned Overall Champion in the Mabuhay Softball Slo-Pitch Cup in Cavite

- The PAF Athletics Team, achieving Overall Champion status in the Davao City Athletics Festival 2024

- The PAF Arnis Team, securing the overall championship in the 87th Araw ng Dabaw National Invitational Open Eskrima Tournament in Davao City

MGEN AUGUSTINE underscored the significance of upholding the spirit of excellence and dedication ingrained within the Filipino workforce. He also commemorated Labor Day by reminding every airman and airwoman of their vital role in ensuring peace and security, emphasizing that their labor embodies sacrifice, bravery, and love for the country.
