The Commander of the Philippine Air Force Personnel Management Center (PAFPMC), Colonel Luisito F Angeles Jr PAF (GSC) relinquished his post on September 19, 2016 during the Change of Command Ceremony held at the New Hall of Flags in Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. He was replaced by Lieutenant Colonel Angelito R Retuta PAF (GSC), the former Group Commander of Tactical Operations Group (TOG) 12. Brigadier General Emigdio D Guevarra Jr AFP, the Commander of 520th Air Base Wing, represented Major General Conrado V Parra Jr AFP, PAF Vice Commander in presiding over the ceremony.
In his speech, Colonel Angeles expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the following PAF Generals: PAF Commanding General, Lt Gen Edgar R Fallorina AFP, and his immediate predecessor retired Lt Gen Jeffrey F Delgado for their trust and confidence in his leadership; Vice Commander, MGen Conrado V Parra Jr AFP, and also his immediate predecessor, MGen Emeraldo C Magnaye for their motivation and insights;and the Commander of Air Education Training and Command, MGen Gerard R Kintanar Jr AFP, and his successor, the Chief of Air Staff, MGen Rozzano B Briguez AFP, for the support and guidance they shared to the PAFPMC. Colonel Angeles also thanked all the PAFPMC personnel who have always been there not only to fulfill the unit’s mission but who were also there to help him in times of distress especially when he figured in an accident during Taebo/Takbo.
The Guest of Honor, BGen Guevarra, commended Colonel Angeles for ensuring the success of all PAF career formation and encouraged all unit Commanders to support the new leadership of the PAFPMC. He also asked God’s blessing and guidance for PAF’s every endeavor.
Colonel Angeles will be taking his Master in National Security Administration (MNSA). Prior to his designation at the PAFPMC, he held various positions in the PAF as follows: Group Commander of TOG 5, Acting Group Commander of TOG 4; Deputy,Wing Inspector General of 220th Airlift Wing, and many others.
Before his stint as Commander of TOG 12, on the other hand, Lt Col Retuta served different positions such as Chief of Promotion Division and Chief of Manpower Procurement and Attrition Division of OJ-1 at General Headquarters; Director of the Directorate for Career Management at Headquarters Service Support Group; Director for Personnel at 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing; and many others. Both officers are members of the Philippine Military Academy 'Maalab' Class of 1993.
