The Philippine Air Force welcomed GENERAL GILBERT I GAPAY PA, the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, during his Farewell Visit at 250th Presidential Airlift Wing Fixed Hangar, Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City on February 3, 2021.
Upon arrival, foyer honors were accorded to GEN GAPAY with the Vice Commander, PAF, MGEN FLORANTE M AMANO PAF, as the Military Host.
In his speech, the CS, AFP extended his heartfelt gratitude to PAF who played a vital role in sustaining peace and security in the country. He also highlighted the contribution of the PAF during crisis providing air support to ground troops; rescuing wounded soldiers; sending supplies in the battlefield; and, successfully delivering recent engagements and victories against various threats. Likewise, he sincerely thanked the CG, PAF for being a trustworthy leader.
PAF Luzon-based Unit Commanders, CJVAB Tenant Unit Commanders, Sergeant Major and HPAF Staff were also present during the activity. Meanwhile, Officers and Enlisted Personnel from other PAF Bases, Tactical Operations Wing and Tactical Operations Group joined the activity through Video Teleconference.
