DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL, AFP VISITED PAF PRIOR TO HIS RETIREMENT

BGEN ELMER R AMON AFP, the Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Forces of the Philippines visited the PAF for a retirement call to the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force, LT GEN JEFFREY F DELGADO AFP at Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City last December 15, 2015.

He was accorded with an arrival honors with COL SAMUEL G GOTICO PAF (GSC), the Deputy Wing Commander of the 520th Air Base Wing as military host and greeted by his fellow airmen before meeting the CG, PAF.

A native of Camarines Sur, BGEN AMON was educated in Naga Parochial School and Ateneo De Naga before entering the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in 1977 and graduated as a member of the PMA “Dimalupig” Class of 1981. As a pilot, he flew BN-I Islander, AT-28 Trojan and S-211 jet aircraft.

After completing 38 years and 9 months of dedicated military service, BGEN AMON will optionally retire on January 1, 2016. BGEN AMON was the Deputy Commander of Western Command (WESCOM), Wing Commander of 355th Aviation Engineer Wing (AEW) and the Deputy Commander of the 2nd Air Division in Mactan before he was assigned as the Deputy – The Inspector General AFP.
