CONTINUOUS SEARCH AND RETRIEVAL OPERATIONS AND HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE AND DISASTER RESPONSE ACTIVITIES

The Tactical Operations Group 6 together with the 505th Search and Rescue Group of the Philippine Air Force, on their 3rd day of continuous Search and Retrieval Operations for the remaining missing victims of the squall which capsized 3 motorized passenger banca along Iloilo-Guimaras Strait which transpired last 03 August 2019, spotted a lifeless body wearing black T-shirt and black shorts floating between the islands of guimaras and negros around 0945H early this morning. The GPS location of the spotted body was immeditely reported to the Incident Command Post (ICP) which situated at City Mall, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City for immediate action. 

Meanwhile, deployed TOG 6 personnel at City Mall, Parola Wharf, Iloilo City, attended the Operational Briefing with Incident Management Team (IMT) in line with the Iloilo-Guimaras Incident. 

Further, your Air Force in Western Visayas also assisted the DSWD 6 personnel in the distribution of Relief goods to the stranded crews of motorized ferry boats of Iloilo-Guimaras route.

Moreover, along the call of service and duty in terms of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response activities,TOG 6 personnel assisted the cadaver of another found lifeless body of one (1) male child going to Gegato-Abecia Funeral Homes, Iloilo and two (2) other were transported to Manila via PAF C130 aircraft. They also assisted and facilitated the processing of C 130 passengers as well as the transport of two(2) cadavers in the Iloilo-Guimaras Incident.

On the other hand, LTC DENNIS Q ALCARDE PAF (MNSA), Group Commander TOG 6 attended the Regional Peace, Law Enforcement (PLEDS) Cluster/Regional Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center (RJPSCC) Meeting at PRO 6 which aimed to form an organization that will intensifies harmonious relationship among counterpart agencies which will help to end insurgencies in our country. Afterwards proceeded to Guimaras Provincial Capitol for a coordinating meeting. (RRYF, TOG6, PAF)
