The Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force LTGEN GALILEO GERARD R KINTANAR JR AFP, visited Brigadier General Benito N Ebuen Air Base Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu on November 28, 2018 as part of his pre-Christmas visit.
He also visited the 205TH Tactical Helicopter Wing and inspect various projects such as the Computer Based Training Facility of 210th Tactical Helicopter Training Squadron called “Helicopter Operations Virtual Exercise Room (H.O.V.E.R.)”.
The said project is one of the Commands’ Thrust to enhance the training capability with the end view to reinforce standards to minimize wear and tear of aircraft and increases safety awareness.
The HOVER will be utilized in the conduct of training of maneuvers that are too risky to be taught during training considering the ageing UH-1Hs. The CG, PAF himself tried the HOVER and was very optimistic that it will serve its purpose.
