AFP Tribute Wall Unveiled At BGC In Taguig

As part of the deeper and more comprehensive stakeholder engagement campaign with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine Air Force (PAF) took part during the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony of the AFP Tribute Wall of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) on December 5, 2016 at BCDA Corporate Office, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

The event was part of the program of BCDA's way to express its profound appreciation for the sacrifices of the AFP for our country's national security. It is a Tribute Wall dedicated to the hardworking men and women in uniform.

The Vice Commander, PAF Major General Conrado V Parra Jr AFP; AFP spokesperson, Brigadier General Restituto Padilla Jr AFP; PAF spokesperson, Col Antonio Z Francisco Jr PAF (GSC); along with the other major services Commanders; and with the Special Guests Senator Pia Cayetano were present during the said event.

On the other hand, Sen. Pia Cayetano congratulated the BCDA family for making a way to progress with the AFP. She also looks forward for more monuments, more landmarks and more permanent monuments and more temporary exhibits.” The image that we live in the mind of our children is based on what we create for them. It’s the memories; it’s the monuments that we put up for them which will help them remember what the past was and who we are today.”

Meanwhile, the AFP was very glad for the privilege that lands recognition to the patriotic deeds of the entire soldier in the achievements and performance of each and everyone’s constitutional duty as the protector of the people and the state.
