The 220th Airlift Wing conducted an outreach program for the benefit of the Albert Schweitzer Familienwerk Foundation Philippines Incorporated or more commonly known as the “Children’s Haven” last May 2, 2019 at the Officer’s Club, Brigadier General Benito N Ebuen Air Base, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. This pre-anniversary activity is the first of many events lined up by the wing to celebrate its 46th Founding Anniversary.

Spearheaded by its Wing Commander, BGEN STEPHEN P PARREÑO AFP, and attended by all wing officers and key NCO’s, the event was a huge success. The Airlifters wholeheartedly showed and extended love and kindness to all orphaned kids. The kids on their part, showed their appreciation through a series of dance numbers. The activity was concluded by a tour around the wing’s facilities.

This event reminded the Airlifters that a little kindness goes a long way. For in this life, “It is not how much we give but how much love we put in giving”. And the Airlifters truly imbibed this philosophy in everything that we do, in the performance of our duties and in our untiring service to country and the Filipino people.
