Blessing and Turn-Over Ceremony of Aircraft and Vehicles

The Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Employee of Air Force City rejoiced, as they have witnessed the Blessing and Turn-Over Ceremony of UH-1H with tail number 806, T41 B with tail number 048 and Newly procured PAF Vehicles at Bay 4, 410MW, AFC, CAB, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. The activity was graced with the presence of the Commanding General Philippine Air Force, LTGEN ROZZANO D BRIGUEZ AFP.

This activity showed that the PAF through Air Logistics Command upholds to pursue a more progressive PAF entailed in securing our precious skies.

12TH CARLOS' CUP BADMINTON TOURNAMENT DONATES CASH FOR MARAWI ORPHANS

Spearheaded by COL DENNIS G ESTRELLA PAF (GSC), the Villamor Air Base Badminton Club thru the 12th Carlos' Cup Badminton Tournament donated cash to the GMA 7 Kapuso Foundation on August 28, 2019, at the Villamor Air Base Badminton Court, CJVAB, Pasay City.

Also present at the said activity were Mrs. Barrie L Castellano, mother of the late CPT CARLO CASTELLANO PAF, COL ALVIN M HATE PAF (MNSA), LTC SADIRI D TABUTOL PAF (GSC), and members of the VAB Badminton Club.

UP UP ISABELA LAUNCHED

The Philippine Air Force through Tactical Operations Group 2 led by its Group Commander, LTC RANDY G BUENA PAF (MNSA), launched the "Usapang Pangkapayapaan Usapang Pangkaunlaran (UP UP) Isabela on August 27, 2019, at Tactical Operations Group 2, Cauayan City, Isabela. 

UP UP is a regular program of the Philippine Air Force in support to the implementation of the Executive Order No. 70 or the 'whole-of-nation' approach of the government to end the 50-year local armed conflict.

​PAF AIRLIFTS FRUITS FOR FIRST EVER MINDA'S FRUIT FESTIVAL

The Philippine Air Force supported the Mindanao Development Authority's first Fruit Festival which was held at Session Road, Baguio City from August 24 to 25, 2019. 

On 23 August 2019, the C-130 Hercules and C-295 transport aircraft of the Philippine Air Force were used to cargo 22 tonnes of assorted fruits like Durian, Marang, Rambutan, Lanzones and Mangosteen from Davao City to Baguio City.

SENATE PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE RALPH GONZALES RECTO VISITS AETDC

The Air Education, Training and Doctrine Command warmly welcomes Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Gonzales Recto during his visit in Fernando Air Base. He was accompanied by the Mayor of Lipa City, Mayor Eric B Africa and Heads of other government agencies, both local and provincial. The purpose of his first official visit is to ensure the speedy completion of the LTCOL BASILIO FERNANDO AIR BASE CIVILIAN EDUCATION CENTER. The said educational hub is being constructed at the 2.2 hectares of land which was donated by the PAF through AETDC.

SERVICE BEYOND MEASURE

The Southern Stinger Flight, composed of two (2) UH-1D helicopters, were alerted at HTOG4, Camp Nakar, Lucena City, to support an ongoing mission in the Southern Luzon AOR. The flight was tasked to conduct immediate pick-up of one (1) confirmed critically wounded-in-action (WIA) personnel during the encounter between the government troops (PA and PNP) and an unidentified number of communist terrorists (CTs) in the mountainous areas of General Nakar, Quezon Province, on 30 July 2019.

228th TCTS IS NOW ACCREDITED AS SECONDARY TRAINING UNIT

Last 07 August 2019, no less than the Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8, MGEN AUGUSTO D DELA PEÑA AFP formally conferred the "Certificate of Recognition" to the 228th Transport Crew Training Squadron (TCTS) for its accreditation as a Secondary AFP Education and Training Unit in the Specialized Military Education and Training Institution Category. The certificate was received by the Squadron Commander, 228th TCTS, MAJOR MARJORIE MUKAY SIA PAF.

PAF FLIES OVER ILOILO-GUIMARAS STRAIT IN SEARCH OF MISSING PASSENGERS

The Philippine Air Force’s 505th Search and Rescue Group together with the Tactical Operations Group 6 conducted continuous search and retrieval operations over Iloilo-Guimaras Strait after a squall capsized three (3) pump boats, M/B Chi-chi and M/B Kezziah from Iloilo to Guimaras, and M/B Jenny Vince from Guimaras to Iloilo, past noon on Saturday, August 03, 2019.

CONTINUOUS SEARCH AND RETRIEVAL OPERATIONS AND HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE AND DISASTER RESPONSE ACTIVITIES

The Tactical Operations Group 6 together with the 505th Search and Rescue Group of the Philippine Air Force, on their 3rd day of continuous Search and Retrieval Operations for the remaining missing victims of the squall which capsized 3 motorized passenger banca along Iloilo-Guimaras Strait which transpired last 03 August 2019, spotted a lifeless body wearing black T-shirt and black shorts floating between the islands of guimaras and negros around 0945H early this morning.
