With the theme: "205THW @ 66: Breaking through the Challenges @ TOPSPEED, Integrating Efforts for Enhanced Tactical Heli-Lift Capabilities for Peace and Resilient Development", the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing of the Philippine Air Force successfully conducted its first ever joint activity of 66th Founding Anniversary and Change of Command Ceremony at Base Theater, BGBNEAB in Lapu-Lapu City on September 20, 2018 with the Commanding General, PAF LTGEN GALILEO GERARD R KINTANAR JR AFP as the Guest of Honor and Presiding Officer.
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) participated in the only tri-service defense and security exhibition that addresses the specific requirements of the Armed Forces, National Police and Security Agencies in the Philippines from September 26 to 28, 2018 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

The Tactical Operations Group 5, Philippine Air Force conducted a Fun Run dubbed as "Runway Run 2018 Para sa Katuninungan Asin Kauswagan Kan Bicolandia" last September 22, 2018 at the runway of the Bicol International Airport (BIA), Alobo, Daraga, Albay. The said activity is part of the Group's pre-anniversary activities in connection with its 16th founding anniversary on October 01, 2018.
Living by the 220th AW leadership's motto, AYUS (Always Your Unselfish Servants) the C-295 aircraft airlifts 60 sacks of NFA rice from Basco, Batanes to Itbayat, the northernmost town, whose residents had run out of the staple commodity. The prevailing unfavorable weather condition in the last two weeks prevented fresh supplies from being shipped by sea travel.
Prior to pre-deployment, an operational briefing was spearheaded by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) Tarlac to personnel of Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 3, 3RD Mechanized Infantry Division of the Philippine Army, Kalayaan Communications Group and the Philippine National Police in connection with the typhoon Ompong to different Municipalities of Tarlac Province on September 14, 2018.
In preparation for typhoon Ompong, the Philippine Air Force 505th Search and Rescue Group (SRG) is in full alert and conducted a round a clock mustering of troops to all PAF personnel followed by the accounting of Human Assistance and Disaster Response Teams (HADR) and Disaster Response Team Units (DRTU) whom were all on the go and ready for deployment.
Moreover, the PAF will also be utilizing all its available Air Assets, Water Boats, M35 Trucks and other equipment's that will help reach heavy flooded and typhoon-hit areas all across the country.
The Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) extends a helping hand to all the victims of typhoon Ompong through giving of relief goods at the Bataan District Office on September 15, 2018.
More so, a round a clock mustering of troops and Equipment preparation were also conducted to be ready for deployment operations.
The Philippine Air Force Tactical Operations Group 5 also conducted a 24/7 mustering of troops to Human Assistance and Disaster Response Teams (HADR) and Disaster Response Team Units (DRTU) together with the inspection of HADR Equipment for typhoon Ompong at TOG 5 Hangar, Legazpi Albay on September 15, 2018.
