The Philippine Air Force (PAF) Day Care Center (DCC) has achieved a five (5)-Star or Level 3 Accreditation from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) during the inspection and evaluation conducted on September 29, 2016, making it a Center for Excellence.

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) participated in the only Defense, Security and Disaster Management Exhibition in the Philippines on September 28 to 30, 2016, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Also known as Asian Defense and Security (ADAS) 2016, this year’s show has attracted 140 exhibitors from 25 countries showcasing the latest cutting edge equipment and technologies.

Now on its 9th year of providing the Philippine Air Force (PAF) with quality personnel management services, the PAF Personnel Management Center (PAFPMC) celebrated its founding anniversary on Friday afternoon, September 30, 2016, held at the New Hall of Flags, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City with the PAF Vice Commander, Major General Conrado V Parra Jr. AFP, as Guest of Honor.

The Headquarters Philippine Air Force (HPAF) formally held a Joint Change of Chief of Office for the Public Information Office (PIO), Office of the Air Force Provost Marshal (OAFPM), and Air Force Human Rights Office (AFHRO) on Wednesday afternoon, September 28, 2016, at the New Hall of Flags, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

The Office of the Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Plans, A5 and the Air Force Safety Office (AFSO), in cooperation with the US Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), conducted the Comprehensive Safety Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE) 2016 from September 19-23, 2016 at Clark Air Base, Basa Air Base, and Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

A total of 216 PAF personnel attended the five-day activity which was composed of 88 PAF personnel from Clark, 43 PAF personnel from Basa and 85 PAF personnel from Villamor Comprehensive Safety SMEE.

Strenuous planning and preparation welcomed the Philippine Air Force as Lieutenant General Edgar R Fallorina AFP, the PAF Commanding General, formally accepted the PAF’s hosting of the 14th ASEAN Air Chiefs Conference (AACC) next year.

No amount of rain could stop the Headquarters Philippine Air Force (HPAF) from honoring the 520th Air Base Wing Commander, Brigadier General Emigdio D Guevara Jr. AFP, during the Change of Command, Testimonial Review and Retirement Ceremony held on Friday afternoon, September 23, 2016, at the PAF Grandstand in Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) led by Lieutenant Colonel Norazrin Bin Shamsudin RMAF rendered courtesy call on Colonel Simplicio A Lumantas Jr PAF (GSC), Air Force Internal Auditor (AFIA), on September 21, 2016 at the Staff Lounge of the Headquarters Philippine Air Force, Colonel Jesus Viillamor Air Base in Pasay City. The RMAF delegation was composed of ten (10) Junior Officers.

After the call, AFIA presided the conduct of the Command briefing at the Hall of Flags.

The Office of the Ethical Standard and Public Accountability in cooperation with the Philippine Air Force Chapter-Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc., conducted a two (2)-day training dubbed, “Empowering Women in the PAF: A Mentorship Training", which began on September 20, 2016 held at the Headquarters Service Support Group (HSSG), Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

The Philippine Air Force took part in the commemoration of the2016 National Peace Consciousness Month and Peace Prayerheld on September 19, 2016 during the flag raising ceremony at Villamor Grandstand, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base (CJVAB) in Pasay City. This activity is in recognition of the International Day of Peace.

The Commander of the Philippine Air Force Personnel Management Center (PAFPMC), Colonel Luisito F Angeles Jr PAF (GSC) relinquished his post on September 19, 2016 during the Change of Command Ceremony held at the New Hall of Flags in Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. He was replaced by Lieutenant Colonel Angelito R Retuta PAF (GSC), the former Group Commander of Tactical Operations Group (TOG) 12.

The Commander of the Philippine Air Force Personnel Management Center (PAFPMC), Colonel Luisito F Angeles Jr PAF (GSC) relinquished his post on September 19, 2016 during the Change of Command Ceremony held at the New Hall of Flags in Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
