The 208th Tactical Helicopter Squadron, together with the 8th Forward Service Support Unit, 8th Regional Mobile Force Battalion and 722nd Squadron, 710th Special Operations Wing, conducted an Air-to-Ground Operations Seminar at the Tactical Operations Group 8 Headquarters, Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport, Tacloban City, last 06 March 2019. The activity aims to enhance the capabilities and interoperability of the ground troops to the aircrew in flight and vice versa during air-to-ground operations.

During the conduct of the seminar, the capabilities and limitations of the UH-1 aircraft, heli-lift operations, and aircraft marshalling and hand signals were discussed to the participants to refresh them on the proper conduct of operation when engaging in combat missions. The aircrew made sure that the participants were imbibed with the full understanding, knowledge, and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively perform the concept of employment and operation in the utilization of PAF air assets through the execution of return demonstrations.

During its culmination, LTC MYROADE R DE LEON PAF (GSC), Group Commander, TOG 8, stated that the seminar was truly timely for the different units in Eastern Visayas because of the continuous conduct of ground operations against the communist terrorists within the region. These exercises equip the airmen and the ground troops with the necessary knowledge and skills essential to provide efficient and effective service for the overall accomplishment of their respective missions.
