The Reservist and Retiree Affairs (RRA) Symposium was conducted at the PAF Museum, Function Hall, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City today, September 19, 2015. This whole- day activity was hosted by the Office of the Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (RRA), A-9, the primary staff that formulates policies and plans for the administration, development, organization, training, equipage, maintenance and utilization of PAF Reserve Force.
In relation to PAF Flight Plan 2028 vis-à-vis the AFP and RRA Transformation Roadmaps, its aim is to apprise the PAF Reservist Administrators, Reserve Unit Commanders and other stakeholders on the current thrusts, policies and programs as well as to enhance synergy between the Regular and the Reserve Force components for jointness and interoperability.
Series of briefings / presentations were given to the participants by resource speakers tapped as Subject Matter Experts on the following; AFP Transformation Roadmap, PAF Flight Plan 2028, Reserve Force Development (RFD) Transformation Roadmap/ RRA Updates, CMO Updates and the Role of Reservist and RFD Programs of the three major services.
Said symposium was graced by REAR ADMIRAL AURELIO A RABUSA JR AFP, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs J9, AFRC Commander and Staff Officers, ARCEN Commanders, AFWR Commanders, AFWR Operations Officers, AFWR Group Commanders and AFWR Sergeant Majors and lastly Reservist Officers.
