Now on its 9th year of providing the Philippine Air Force (PAF) with quality personnel management services, the PAF Personnel Management Center (PAFPMC) celebrated its founding anniversary on Friday afternoon, September 30, 2016, held at the New Hall of Flags, Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City with the PAF Vice Commander, Major General Conrado V Parra Jr. AFP, as Guest of Honor.
To celebrate the unit’s milestone and achievements, the personnel were awarded with plaques of recognition for their outstanding performance and positive contribution to the PAFPMC. The following are:
Officer of the Year – Captain Alvin C Saladino PAF
Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year – SSg Jimmy M Pablo PAF
Airwoman of the Year – AW2C Emely A Cabanilla PAF
Civilian Employee of the Year – Ms Ana Romae M Tomas CE
With this year’s theme, “PAFPMC @ 9: Jointly Engaged Transforming Force for Quality Personnel Management Services,” it showed the unit’s commitment and support to the Command’s thrust. According to the Commanding Officer of PAFPMC, Lieutenant Colonel Angelito R Retuta PAF (MNSA), the unit’s anniversary served as a reminder of their unwavering commitment to serve the PAF. He thanked the men and women of PAFPMC for their teamwork and for steering the unit into what it is today.
MGen Parra,in return, corroborated the statements of Lt Col Retuta. As a human resource manager of the PAF, the Vice Commander emphasized the PAFPMC’s vital role in the career progression of every individual in the PAF. He also encouraged the unit’s personnel to continue to become an inspiration to others.
