The Philippine Air Force, under the leadership of LTGEN ALLEN T PAREDES AFP, continues to provide tactical airlift to support our government’s drive to stop the spread of COVID-19 virus.
Tactical Operations Wing Eastern Mindanao, through the coordination made by Tactical Operations Group 11 under the leadership of LTC FLORANTE S BATERINA PAF (GSC), facilitated the immediate transport of Test Kit specimens and airlifted various medical supplies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) via the C-130 military aircraft from Manila to Davao City on March 25, 2020.
The delivery of the test kit specimens will fast track the confirmation of COVID-19 cases thus helping the Davao City LGU to better manage the identified PUIs and PUMs in the city. Also, the medical supplies and PPEs will greatly improve the working condition and services of our health workers in the frontlines. These will give them protection as they take care of the Davaoeños needing medical care.
The Philippine Air Force, through TOW EastMin under the leadership of its Wing Commander, COL DENNIS G ESTRELLA PAF(GSC), will always remain true to its mission of providing service not only to the people of Davao but to the whole nation, especially in this challenging times.
